Controls:

- Ultimarc UltraStik 360 with build in encoder
- Sanwa 24 mm OSBN-24 orange pushbuttons (3 pcs)
-
Seimitsu 24 mm PS-14-DN black pushbuttons (3 pcs)
- Ultimarc harness for UltraStik 360 (sponsored by Ultimarc)
- Made of 5 mm laser cut acrylic sheet with reinforcements

The UltraStik 360 is the heart of this machine. It has a build in joystick encoder for 8 buttons and it can be changed in the software to work as an analog joystick, 2-way, 4-way, 8-way, 49-way and even as a mouse. Perfect for such a small cabinet with limited space.

Cabinet:

Made entirely from 5mm laser cut black and orange acrylic sheets. Acrifix 116 and 192 are used for bonding the parts. See step by step for reference.

Size MM:       Width: 275        Height: 223       Depth: 290
Size inches:
Width: 10.83"    Height: 8.78"    Depth: 11.42"

Weight: 4.5 KG - or about 3.7 KG with netbook internals.

Monitor:

- 10.4" Lilliput FA1042-NP/C/T LCD monitor - Native 800x600 - Up to 1280x1024 - The newer FA1046 is much better choice (thinner)

This was the biggest of the small monitors I could find and the absolutely largest monitor that can be fitted into the Nanocade.

The Nanocade can be use with any monitor this size or smaller:
Width: 262 mm x Depth: 73 mm x Height: 185 mm.

It will easily fit any widescreen 10.1 inch netbook screen.

Sound system:

- Build in speakers in Lilliput monitor

I plan to install some USB powered speakers in the Nanocade at some point. It can be fitted with up to 3 inch speakers.

System specs:

-CPU:
-RAM:
-HD:
-Main board:

-PSU:
-Cooling
Intel Atom D510 dual core
1024 MB DDR2-800
40 GB SSD - Intel X25-V
Intel D510MO mini-ITX ( 170x170 mm )
- AMD Zacate / Fusion is much better and faster
PicoPSU 80 watt + Generic 12 volt 60 watt external PSU
Akasa Amber 80 mm Ultra Quiet cabinet fan at 50%

The parts are picked out to be the least power consuming and thus generating the least amount of heat. I would recommend the new AMD Zacate / Fusion platform not. It's much better and faster than Atom. Takes op less space too.

Software:

- Windows 7 Starter edition x86
- MALA FE with custom Nanocade layout
- MAME 0.139

I love the change from Maximus Arcade to Male FE. Male is much faster and less demanding on the system. It is very easy to make custom made layouts and Mala supports any emulator out there.

Get Mala FE here

If you decide to make your own MAME cabinet using my drawings, please feel free to make a donation,  as I'm trying to raise enough money to make a new up-right cabinet, that's hard to do as a student.
